Below are some descriptions of what you can expect when you visit our office in Court of the Rouge Valley Health System, Centenary site. Dr. Gerber recognizes that everyone is on a personal journey and treats patients with compassion and without judgment regardless of their current health status. From the inactive to the athletic, from infants to seniors she will guide and educate you in your healing from acute and chronic injuries.
What to Expect:
Initial Visit Form: Comprehensive health history forms are the first step to becoming a patient. This information will provide us with your medical and health history, previous healthcare experience, lifestyle factors in your health and details about your reasons for seeking care.
For children under 16 years of age a Pediatric form must be used, and parent/guardian consent obtained.
Print one of these forms and have it filled out at home before your initial visit.

1st visit:
Your first appointment with Dr. Gerber will involve a thorough health history, which will allow her to detect contributing factors in your current health status and to tailor your treatment plan to your unique situation. An examination including postural assessment, gait analysis, range of motion testing, orthopaedic tests, neurological assessment, muscle testing, and spinal joint mechanics will be performed. If x-rays or other exams are required, we will discuss requisition options with you.
Report of Findings and Consent:
Dr. Gerber will describe your diagnosis, postural findings, ergonomic (workplace/home) factors, neurological findings and other examination results before any treatment is offered. Our goal is that you have a clear understanding of your health status, your treatment options, diagnosis, and how chiropractic care can help you. You will be encouraged, as always, to ask any questions that you may have. Your informed consent to treatment will be obtained.
Treatment Plans:
A unique treatment plan, customized to your specific symptoms, findings, health status, and diagnosis will be presented to you. Treatment may include soft tissue therapy ( Active Release Techniques®,

Cancellation and Missed Appointments:
Please be advised that when you schedule an appointment, a specific time is reserved for you. If you are unable to make the appointment, a 24 hour notice (business hours) of cancellation is required. Failure to do so may result in a missed appointment charge.
