All Stressed Out?!?

Chronic stress (and inflammation) is killin’ you…. literally. When your spine and nervous system are out of alignment or off balance, your immediate and long term health suffers. “STRESS” comes from emotional, physical and chemical imbalances, toxins, build up…. While the chemicals, catecholamines and hormones your Sympathetic “fight or flight” Nervous System releases like cortisol, adrenaline (epinephrine and nor epinephrine) are so very helpful when a tiger is chasing you, or a true trauma is occurring, they are severely detrimental over the long term. Negatively impacted are: sleep (quality and duration), digestion, immune system function, focus, sex drive, fertility, healthy weight maintenance, blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol, cardiovascular health, mental clarity etc, etc, etc….. Plus, elevation in systemic inflammation causes your pain and increases sensitivity to pain. It also increases your likelihood of having Alzheimer’s disease, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, depression, fatigue, osteoarthritis, irritable bowel syndrome, osteoporosis, allergies and food sensitivities, autoimmune diseases like lupus, rheumatoid, Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis, and many others.giphy

This is where the amazing chiropractic adjustment comes in!
